Do you have a craft or skill you would like to teach?

As a non-profit organization, our mission is to inspire and educate both young people and the general public in the artistry and skills of the trades. To further this goal, the Blue Ox Historic Village is continually seeking opportunities to broaden our range of workshops and classes.

We are especially interested in finding instructors for the following crafts and trades:

  • Blacksmithing

  • Lapidary Arts

  • Lathe Turning

  • Wood Carving

  • Ceramics (slipcasting & wheel throwing)

  • Leather Craft

  • Fiber Arts (spinning, dyeing, felting)

  • Letterpress Printing

  • Bookbinding

  • Printmaking

  • Jewelry Making

We are looking for talented individuals that have the following abilities:

  • Willingness to teach in small settings (4 or less students)

  • The ability to connect with individuals across a wide spectrum of experience

  • A solid technical knowledge of their craft

  • Eager to work in a experimental hands-on setting

  • Strong enthusiasm for promoting the classes and workshops they teach
